I support John McCain to get rid of Kim Jong-il

I support John McCain to get rid of Kim Jong-il!

Some Christian far-right conservatives in the Republican Party say they would not vote for Sen. McCain in November no matter what. No matter what! I never listened to Rush Limbaugh, but I did read “Treason” written by Anne Coulter and I did watch Sean Hannity of Fox News often. What did get into their heads? Hillary over McCain?

There is one profound basic principle that all human beings should honor and respect, including the so-called Christian far-right conservatives: Protect the life. Protect the life anywhere and everywhere; in the mother’s womb, in the back streets of Harlem, in Darfur, and in North Korea. McCain never supported pro-choice, that is, abortion, that is, termination of life. He has been always pro-life. McCain spoke passionately about Darfur and about North Korea. He spoke out not as a politician, but as a humanist.

There are not too many people who went through what McCain went through. He was in the Hanoi Hilton for five and a half years, and two years in the solitary. He wanted to welcome death rather than being tortured over and over. And yet, he refused to be released before the other POWs who were his prison-seniors were released. He fought alone inside the prison against the evil communists. When the war was over, he forgave the prison guards who tortured him. They became friends. McCain now speaks against any kind of torture under any circumstances. He does not want American GIs tortured like he was under any circumstance. That is McCain.

I support McCain because he is the only candidate who knows the true evil nature of Kim Jong-il of North Korea. He came to Sen. Sam Brownback’s office to talk to the top-ranking NK defector, the former NK Labor Party Secretary, Dr. Hwang Jang-yop, when he visited DC in October 2003. Sen. McCain himself visited the North Korean Genocide Exhibit in April 2006 at Russell Rotunda. He saw himself what happened in North Korea and the infamous political prison camps. Sen. McCain is not for a war with North Korea, but he says, “Trust, but verify!” He is for talking about the human rights issue on NK and Sudan. If this guy is not a conservative, I don’t want to be a conservative.

McCain says he is trying to follow the footsteps of Abraham Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, and Ronald Reagan. To fight against the evil murderers of the world, Osama bin Laden, Al Qaeda, Hamas, Hezbollah, and most of all, the arch-evil murderer in North Korea, Kim Jong-il, is a right thing to do. Lincoln said long time ago, “Stand with anybody that stands right. Stand with him while he is right, and part with him when he goes wrong.” Right now, McCain is absolutely right on this war against the terror and the evil, and I stand with him.
