Please wake up, Mr. President!

Every day I wake up into the news unbelievable and hopeless, but I cannot even get mad today.
It is reported today that W. Bush requested 106 million dollars to the Congress to send fuel oil to Kim Jong-il.
Bush wants to secure the funds to buy oil for Kim Jong-il at the first sign of nuclear dismantlement?
Bush is ready to take off Kim Jong-il from the terrorist list at the first sign of nuclear dismantlement?
He is ready to sign a peace treaty and establish diplomatic relations with Kim Jong-il,
At the first sign of nuclear whatever?

What happen to him? I cannot even get mad at him. I feel sorry for him.
Even John Kerry would not do what W. Bush is doing. Republicans would not let him.
With W. Bush, the republicans cannot do or say anything.
W. Bush is leading the chant now, “Peace, peace, peace, peace at whatever the costs!”
How did we come to this?

W. Bush could not do anything against Kim Jong-il because of the leftist appeasers in South Korea?
W. Bush could not do anything because of the anti-American Democrats at the Capitol?

True leaders cannot make excuses for themselves. True leaders cannot blame others for their failures. True leaders take on responsibilities head on.
Even Kim Jong-il can make excuses: I did not murder them. My security agents murdered them.
Even Kim Dae Jung can make excuses: I did not give half a billion dollars to Kim Jong-il in 2000. Lim Dong-won and Park Jee-won delivered the money.
Even Roh Moo-hyun can make excuses: I did not do anything wrong. The press and the opposition party tied me down.

Mr. President! Are you really ready to give 106 million dollars to Kim Jong-il?
You have done nothing with the 2004 North Korean Human Rights Act. Not a penny for the NKHR Act.
You went so much trouble getting the drug money of 25 million dollars at BDA in Macao back to Kim Jong-il.
Now, you are ready to give our tax money, $106,000,000 to this murderer?

Lincoln even in his darkest days did not make any excuses.
Lincoln had his enemies, the slave owners and the Democrats.
The Democrat generals did not want to fight the rebels. They all wanted Peace, peace, peace!
The Radical Republicans were out to get him. No re-election! Lincoln must abdicate if he does not free the slaves right now!
Against this terrible odds, against all kinds of conspiracy, against all the oppositions,
Lincoln saved the Union and freed the slaves in the end. He alone took the responsibility and saved the Union and freed the slaves.

He was worried if the U. S. is on a steep downhill toward disaster.
If the U.S. cannot keep free democracy for the world, who will?
If the U.S. does not care about the dying people in North Korea and elsewhere in the world, who will?
